Drink and Draw

This week I participated in Drink and Draw for the first time. It felt a bit intimitating, all kind of self doubt kicked in. It was intensive, fast, tiring and exhilarating all at the same time. Had a well-earned beer afterwards 🙂

Drawing started with 5 x 2 minute poses, then 5 and 10 minutes and ended with 2x 15 minute poses. These 2-minute poses were so quick! To get some additional practice, I joined DnD patreon page and did some afterdrawings.

Drawing is fun! And life drawing is extra fun. DnD sessions are so laudable. I haven’t done any life drawing for 20 odd years, since graduating art college, and tese events make it easy and accessible again.

Take care,

Hedvig

  • The End. Or?

    The End. Or?

It is the end, I finally graduated from textile school. Three years of insanely busy times, lack of sleep, untidy home and then 2 months ago it all suddenly ended. The soft sculpture, a white textile bird, was my graduation project, I was rewarded with the highest grade. But there was no joy. I felt Read more

I see a lot of fellow estonians visiting my site and I want to have no barriers in spreading the word about a charity organization, that speaks to me loudly – Loose Ends Project. The idea behind the Loose Ends Project is to connect people, who have lost Read more

    Crochet tunic

Finished at last! It took me about a year from brainstorming the idea to sewing the pieces together. I had a serious creative block during the process and some technical challenges, but overall I’m happy with the result! Model on photos and future owner of the tunic is my dear friend Monika. The tunic is Read more

  • Crocheting milestone!

    Crocheting milestone!

The highlight of my week – finished the large piece of my tiled crochet project!! It took quite a bit of engineering, testing and remaking. I crocheted 4 corners separately, trying to keep the bottom of triangles curved. Sewed the corners to the ring and started crocheting all around, evening it out with different stitches. Read more
